As I mentioned in a previous post, I always sleep in pantyhose. Last night, I tried on a pair of Pretty Polly pantyhose. The model was Italia, satin finish in 15 denier.
They have sheer toes and a V-cut bikini brief. It is essentially a French cut brief, which is quite special, as it is quite difficult to find a French cut style that isn't control top. The satin sheen isn't overly loud, but it does catch the light with a delightful glow.
And the way they felt--all I can say is WOW! This was the first time I've ever worn this particular make and model, and they felt marvelous! They are very soft, and the non-control bikini brief is quite luxurious. This is actually one of the cheaper styles offered by Pretty Polly; even so, they feel great. They feel quite delicate, so it remains to be seen how well they hold up to multiple wearings.
I also have a few pairs of Pretty Polly Italia pantyhose in the 10 denier, gloss finish. I'll probably alternate between those and the satin 15 throughout this week.

Washing my pantyhose
Huh? A blog post about the laundry? Sure, why not?
Washing our pantyhose is something we all have to do (well, at least those of us who wear pantyhose). For me though, it isn't just a mundane task. Like most people, I groan at the thought of household chores. But washing the pantyhose is one chore I actually enjoy.
Before plunging them in the Woolite and water, I always give each pair of pantyhose a thorough inspection. This is mostly to get the stray dog hairs out of the legs. I have a dog, which thankfully doesn't shed. However, the fact that we do share our house with the dog inevitably results in the inescapable fact that our floors and carpets always collect stray hairs. Somehow, these dog hairs magically find a way to get into/onto my pantyhose. How those hairs sometimes find their way halfway into the nylon baffles me.
Nevertheless, having a pooch necessitates canine hair removal before washing. It bugs me when I'm rinsing a pair of pantyhose, only to find a single dog hair that has inexplicably woven itself many times into and out of a hose leg. Thus, the thorough inspections.
The pre-wash inspections also enable me to find any microscopic snags I may have otherwise missed. If I find a snagged pair, I put on the offending pantyhose and produce that trusty bottle of clear nail polish.
I usually wear pantyhose as I do the wash. This obviously makes the task more enjoyable. But doing the wash also takes me back to my childhood, a time when I had constantly been exposed to my mom's and siblings' drying pantyhose laundry. Now, all these years later, I am the one producing the pantyhose laundry; the damp, pantyhose jungle.

Pantyhose from Alex Blake
This is an update on the post about online pantyhose shopping.
Recently, I made a purchase from Alex Blake, and it was quite a pleasant experience. Depending on which brands you choose, your shipment may come from either the UK or the US warehouse (or both). My order had a mixture of domestic and European brands, so I received two separate packages.
I don't know if this is typical of how the US warehouse does things, but it was quite nice to receive my pantyhose nicely wrapped like this.
In the wrapper was a single pair of HUE hipster pantyhose. Even for a single pair of pantyhose, they went out of their way to wrap it like this. :)
Several days later, the portion from the UK warehouse arrived. Here is everything, including the HUE pair from the US warehouse.
It wasn't a terribly large order. My main purpose was to find hipster pantyhose (the HUE and Falke Shelina Hipster) and seamless pantyhose (Aristoc Sensuous Lace Seamfree) for my girlfriend. Only one pair of each, since we're still "testing" them to find the one she likes the best.
Naturally, since I was shopping online, I got a few things for myself.
Arrivederci :)

Buying pantyhose in bulk: Hanes Silk Reflections and L'eggs
One of my favorite brands of pantyhose is Hanes Silk Reflections. I always get the non-control top, reinforced toe style. IMHO, Silk Reflections are a reasonable compromise in terms of price and quality. They are not quite as fine as some of my preferred European brands, but they are still pretty good.
And the price is great, especially if you buy in bulk. Normally, I find Silk Reflections in stores for about $8 per pair. If you buy directly from the Hanes website when there's a sale, you can get four pairs for about $21, or $5.25 per pair, which is over a third off the regular price.
Not only that, if you spend more than $75, shipping is free (I always spend more than $75 at a time anyway).
That same site also sells L'eggs in multi-packs, but the savings aren't quite as dramatic as with the Silk Reflections. IMHO, L'eggs are like the McDonald's of pantyhose--I wear them mostly because they're cheap per unit. And, while they are not bad as far as quality, there are definitely much better options out there.
While the website descriptions of the bulk pantyhose say "slightly imperfect," I have yet to notice any flaws in these pantyhose. IMHO they are a bargain.
Visit the Hanes/L'eggs website here.

Nice Touch pantyhose
I bought a bunch of these on sale two Saturdays ago.
After sleeping in them for a week, I've discovered that I like these pantyhose much more than I thought I would. For cheap pantyhose, they are quite good. Not as good as some of the European brands that I wear, but they still slide well between the bedsheets.
So now that I've enjoyed wearing this brand for an extended period of time, I'll be sure to stock up on these whenever they go on sale.
Arrivederci :)

Sleeping in pantyhose
Wow third post today, looks like I have a lot to say. :p
I always sleep in pantyhose. The last thing I feel every night as I drift off into unconsciousness is the silky caress of my pantyhose on my skin. And when waking up the next morning, there is no better way to begin the day than to feel that familiar, comforting, sensual coddling of the nylon and Lycra on my body.
Usually, I'll sleep in the same pair of pantyhose for the whole week. Sometimes I'll change it up if my mood suits me.
This is what I wore last night:
It is a fairly cheap, generic brand of pantyhose called AMPM. It is from Japan.
Arrivederci :)

Online pantyhose shopping and my girlfriend
Last night, I bought a bunch of pantyhose online at AlexBlake (a.k.a. MyTights.com). In my spare time, I like to peruse online pantyhose vendors like Shapings, Hosieree, OneHanesPlace, BareNecessities, etc.
I bought some Aristoc, Pretty Polly, Charnos, Falke, and HUE. Some were for me, some for my girlfriend.
My girlfriend doesn't like pantyhose. I've seen what she buys for herself, and they are all control top. The thing is, she is petite, I mean, really, really small--I dare say borderline anorexic. So there's no logical reason for her to buy control top. Yet, that's what she buys, and suffers because of it.
Her big complaints are that they are uncomfortable, dig into her waist, and make her feel like a stuffed sausage. Well duhh, that's what control tops feel like. I love her to pieces, but for someone who has worn pantyhose for so many years, my girlfriend is pretty clueless when it comes to pantyhose.
She knows how much pantyhose turn me on, and she said she'd wear them just for me occasionally. But if she were going to make that sacrifice for me, the least I could do was get the most luxurious, comfortable pantyhose for her to wear.
She said she likes hipster underwear, so I've gone out of my way to find hipster styles of pantyhose for her--all sheer to waist of course, as I want to maintain as much psychological distance from her dreaded control tops as possible.
From various sources, I've also bought different brands of seamless pantyhose for her. Based on feedback from women at tightsfashion.co.uk, seamless pantyhose are truly the most sensational feeling pantyhose you can buy.
Maybe one day I'll post a review from my girlfriend's perspective.
Arrivederci :)
